You don’t have to be wonderful at everything.

Ask most Kiwis about Kazakhstan and many will think of Borat and the crazy antics of a British comedian. Ask this wonderful lady, and she’ll tell you it’s home, where she lives with numerous addicts, in rehab.

She’s Dorothy, a single Kiwi who speaks Russian and spends part of the year in Almaty, and part in NZ. One of the things they needed in the Rehab Centre was access to good Biblical teaching and encouragement so FEBC provided a satellite dish. In Russia and Central Asia we broadcast our radio programmes over that medium, as well as AM, and FM in several cities.

Dorothy is obviously compassionate, caring, courageous, and sacrificial. And she might be wonderful at discipling people and helping them understand God’s Word, but she doesn’t have to be all the time. That’s what the body is for, and now the guys can get teaching, encouragement, worship, and counsel from Kazakh and Russian teachers and friends 24/7.

Watch the video, it’s wonderful.  (here’s the link in case it doesn’t appear below  http://youtu.be/1Ifoi9p8s70 )

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,

for the rights of all who are destitute.

Speak up and judge fairly;

defend the rights of the poor and needy.” Prov. 31:8-9
